NanoLetters Publishes ECUST Important Progress in High-performance Carbon Nanotube Fibers

Recently, the research group of Professor Wang Jiannong from the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, ECUST, has made important progress in the continuous preparation and performance optimization of high-performance carbon nanotube fiber materials. The related reasearch article was published in NanoLetters, an internationally renowned journal in the field of nanotechnology, with the title “High-Strength Carbon NanotubeFibers from Purity Control by Atomized Catalytic Pyrolysis and Alignment Improvement by Continuous Large Prestraining”.

The carbon nanotube fibers prepared in the research are high in purity, with good orientation and compactness, and the tensile strength is as high as 8.0GPa. This research was funded by the Key Research and Development Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
