Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences Publishes ECUST New Progress of Ultra-high Resolution Dynamic Visualization of Bacterial Structure
Recently, the research team of Professor He Xiaopeng from the Joint Research Center of Ferringa Nobel Prize Scientists in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, ECUST, has made new progress in the research of ultra-high resolution dynamic visualization of bacterial structure, and the related research article was published in the Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences with the title of “Super resolution imaging of antimicrobial-induced structural disruption of bacteria enabled by photochromic glycocells”.
The article is co-corresponding-authored by Professor He Xiaopeng from ECUST, Yi Dong, a researcher from China National Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry Research, and Jonathan Sessler, a foreign academician of China Academy of Sciences and professor at the University of Texas at Austin. The research work was mainly completed by Associate Professor Hu Xile, doctoral candidate Gan Huiqi and MEngineering student Gui Wenzhen. This research work has received careful guidance from Academician Tian He, and has been funded by the major research plan (key/integrated project) of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Project of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, the Basic Operating Expenses of Central Universities, the Joint Research Center of Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists, and the Frontier Science Center of the Ministry of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry.
