Angewandte Chemie Publishes ECUST New Advances in Fluorescent Dye Polyelectrolyte Assembly Research
Recently, a team led by Academician Zhu Weihong at the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center, ECUST, including Professor Guo Zhiqian and Specially Appointed Associate Researcher Yan Chenxu, published a cover article titled “Photo-Triggered Fluorescence Polyelectrolyte Nanoassemblies: Manipulate and Boost Singlet Oxygen in Photodynamic Therapy” in the authoritative international journal Angewandte Chemie, reporting innovative advancements in the precise photodynamic sensitization strategy for enhancing single oxygen sensitization using fluorescent dye polyelectrolyte assemblies.
This research work was primarily completed by Dr. Yao Yongkang under the joint guidance of Specially Appointed Associate Researcher Yan Chenxu and Professor Guo Zhiqian. It received significant support from Academician Zhu Weihong of ECUST, Academician Fan Chunhai of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Liu Jianjun of Renji Hospital, Professor Wang Junyou of ECUST, and Associate Professor Chen Shangjun of Shanghai Normal University. The research was also supported by the Frontiers Science Center for Materiobiology and Dynamic Chemistry, the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Rising Star Project of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Action Plan.
